There has been a major strike here for the last three weeks by the middle and high school teachers. The strike is over pay and the kids haven’t been to school since it started.
Last week I heard on the news that the mediator quit. I at once felt a kinship, resulting in empathy, followed by frustration at how it is so difficult to get people to communicate, especially when the stakes are so high.
